Interacting with dreamscapes of old homes, barns, land and skies, he produced realism of place infused with light. The Northwest's abundance of inland waterways added a new watery symbolism to his work. Old fishing boats found homes in his finely hued seascapes.

Clint received many awards from the numerous juried exhibits through out the northwest.

Starfish IIIn 1988, Clint followed the Rhythm of place and spent a year in cosmopolitan Los Angeles, studying guitar at the Musician's Institute. This time of introspection and change inspired a collection of watercolors that sold out one-man shows in 1989 and 1990.
